“ ‘(S)he who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his (her) God and (s)he shall be My son (daughter)’.” (Revelation 21 v 7)
Pray to be in union
With the divine heart of Jesus,
A prayer to the God of our life.
Ask to be His work in progress,
Our feet here upon earth
Well shod and ready to be of service,
Our eyes fixed upon heaven.
Be aware of the need for God’s grace
By which we embrace His Son,
The perfectly holy, inspiring One coming out of mercy.
“It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.” (Psalm 18 v 32)
Ask too, to be filled by the Spirit,
In whom we inherit an alert conscience,
A will to serve the Master well as our response to mercy.
Fruitful in service according to the Spirit’s gifting,
Always uplifting our focus to be on Jesus.
Jesus, the manifestation of the Father’s promise to Israel.
His amazing, life transforming love for us an inheritance.
We meet the Spirit to develop our self awareness,
Revealing the truth of who Jesus is,
Why He lived and died for us, because of mercy.
“...the people of Israel....Because they are His chosen people, they are the very ones who should know the wonder of being adopted as His sons (daughters). They should be able to experience God’s glory.” (Romans 9 v 3, 4, The Truth.)
We learn too, how He sends the Spirit to us and what for.
The more we pray,
The fuller, the richer our union with God,
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
That a new era is begun, as we inherit the promise to Israel,
Unfolding, moulding the way forwards in holiness for us.
That is the love of God alive in us to thrive
Through the friendship of the Lord Jesus,
And the incredible power of the Holy Spirit.
Making us into a community of love.
“....part of the new covenant and the new relationship with God, ...so God longs for them to accept His grace...Jesus Christ...came as God’s living temple. God gave them wonderful promises, but they are only fulfilled by faith in Christ...” (Romans 9 v 4, 5 The Truth)
Ever protected by the loving care we share,
In the beauty of all that is holy,
Reaching out to equip and empower more believers.
We have to tell the world of true hope,
Together with the peace and joy offered us,
As the gift of new life found in the Lord Jesus.
We must declare to share the grace of this life,
That call to serve the Father, through the Son,
According to the amazing working of the Holy Spirit,
So eventually after dying, we are raised eternally.
According to the promise of our inheritance as fulfilled by Christ Jesus.
“ ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and the Witness, the Beginning and the creation of God’.” (Revelation 3 v 14)
“ ‘Behold, I make all things new...It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him (her) who trusts’.” (Revelation 21 v 5, 6)
Dearest Father, our inheritance is offered through the love the Lord Jesus manifests to us, according to th revelation of the Spirit of truth, He who strives to inform us according to the power of holy love, making us
the inheritors of Your original promise made to Israel.
Thank You so much for this amazing grace and profound mercy made ours to claim in Jesus as Lord, Your living Word and offer of true love, a redemptive love as the Spirit strives to convince us.
Together with our Saviour we reach forwards moving towards heaven, the eternal home You mercifully offer us and lovingly wish to share with us. What a hope we have. In striving after the requisite holiness, may we
ever live to the praise and glory of the holy Trinity.
Thank You that the Holy Spirit shows us the Lord Jesus as our life’s source of holiness, of love in all its upright perfection, never to be taken for granted, but prayerfully sought after. “To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.” (Psalm 25 v 1)
“O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me,” ( v 2) for it is a daily battle against the lure of worldly, self-satisfying, pleasure seeking ways, the clamorous call of satan, and winning this ongoing battle.
“Let no one who waits on You” praying to be helped, “be ashamed.” (v 3) May the Spirit enable us as believers in the salvation the Lord Jesus, won for us at the †, to say “Show me Your ways, O LORD, teach me Your paths.” (v 4)
“Lead me in Your truth and teach me” for Your truth is trustworthy, able to make us stable in faith, “For You are the God of our salvation; on You I wait all the day,” (v 5) expectantly, confident we are offered our inheritance in the glorious life, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.
How wonderful, truly marvellous it is to have a Brother who is a Saviour, ready, willing and wanting to help us continually. May we always ask for the Lord Jesus to safely shepherd us all the way home to heaven, however long or short the journey is for us. We ask confidently because the Lord, our Saviour is the Victor over all that is evil, His conquest made at the †, a sure triumph for all who believe in Him.
Jesus is Lord; Jesus is Your Word Father; Jesus is life in all the promised fullness, sharing His holiness by the Spirit; Jesus is our sure hope, our sense of peace, our relationship with You spoiled by sin, but re-established and our eternal joy.
We cannot live aright without Jesus and the purifying Spirit, loving us back into a shape which is pleasing to You, honouring Your will and wish for our holiness. There is no true life without the friendship of the
Lord Jesus.
Without our Saviour Brother we carry a sense of emptiness, feel helpless, have no secure hope, and do not experience the profound peace of discovering Your love and mercy, dearest Father. And our joy is false, being centred on the wrong things which offer no real and certainly no eternal happiness.
Your love as shown by Jesus, made known by the Spirit to be our inheritance as believers, this is life to us, the quality of life we all could share in and the world could richly benefit by as our society seeks to become holy.
Let us then listen for the Spirit’s calling, seeking us to shape us for Christian service, empowering us to act through the presence of the Lord Jesus, our focus, our driving force, hopefully. I ask for us to be safeguarded from dangers and distractions.
Our inheritance is the joy of assurance, our faith strengthened and emboldened. Thank You Father God, Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit, Lord.
You make all the difference in the world to us in the certainty of our living
Saviour being here amongst us. May the Spirit always be in our seeking and finding of this truth, that we worship in the beauty of holiness, our inheritance to be ever honoured, for we are in receipt of holy mercy thereby. Amen.
